Lagos partners with a travel agency to boost tourism

The Lagos state government has announced that it will partner with a travel agency, Ajala.ng, to boost tourism in the state.

The initiative was set up by Lagos Ferry Services, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Ajala.ng to promote water transport to increase patronage of tourist destinations.

According to a statement released on Monday, the governor’s special advisor for tourism, arts and culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, said this during the signing ceremony in Alausa, Ikeja.

He said, “This partnership with a reputable and leading travel management company like ajala.ng will open up the state’s many tourist destinations and create easy access via waterways.

“We will partner with Ajala.ng to promote local tourism in Lagos State. I implore more private business owners to invest in water transport as it is the next frontier for Lagos’ economic sector. ”

LAGFERRY Managing Director Abdoulbaq Balogun said: “The partnership will not only promote local tourism, but also create the much needed awareness of daily travel by waterways and improve water transport activities.

Ajala.ng’s director of operations, Ms Babayemi Olamide, said the partnership will boost local tourism.
