Tourism professionals from around the world will return to Dubai next week when the Arabian Travel Market, the Middle East’s premier travel industry event, returns to the Dubai World Trade Center on May 9, 2022.
The event will welcome more than 20,000 visitors and more than 1,500 exhibiting companies during the four-day tourism showcase, which will end on Thursday, May 12. About 112 countries will be presented at the show, from Japan to Jamaica and from South Africa to Italy.
Industry professionals will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the latest trends from a cross section of travel, including technology, transportation, sustainability, events and business.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME – Arabian Travel Market, said the Arabian Travel Market 2022 will reiterate the importance of the travel industry as “we continue to address the challenges of Covid-19 while explaining how we’re moving the industry forward.”

In keeping with this year’s theme “The Future of International Travel and Tourism“, ATM 2022 will unveil new technology that will eliminate the need for business cards and allow exhibitors and visitors to share details, brochures and marketing materials. via innovative scanners and badges.
Further underscoring the focus on technology is the revamped and renamed ATM Travel Tech event, formerly called Travel Forward. A host of exciting sessions will take place, including NEOM’s vision and strategy for creating memorable experiences by Andrew McEvoy, Chief Tourism Officer, Neom.
Elsewhere on the agenda, Zeina Dagher, CEO of Emaar Entertainment, will discuss the future of tourist attractions, traveler trends and next steps in distribution, attraction technology and customer experience. .
The first Draper-Aladdin ATM Startup Competition, which launched earlier this year, will see 15 travel, tourism and hospitality start-ups submit $500,000 in funding and potentially an additional $500,000 investment. as part of the hit TV show Meet les drapiers.
Debuting on the live show, the [email protected] forum and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) will focus on current and future trends for tour operators and attractions. Capitalizing on the growth of regional tourism investment, the ITIC-ATM Middle East Summit – jointly organized by ATM and the International Tourism Investment Conference (ITIC) – will highlight access to project finance in the post-Covid era and will include a high-level ministerial meeting session.
Building on the success of ATM’s hybrid approach during the global pandemic, this year’s in-person event will be followed by the third installment of ATM Virtual, which will take place from Tuesday May 17 to Wednesday May 18, 2022.
ATM 2022 is being held in conjunction with the Dubai World Trade Center and its strategic partners include Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as Destination Partner, Emirates as Official Airline Partner and Emaar Hospitality Group as as official hotel partner.
